Class Wiki

Having a class wiki is another tool that can be helpful for the classroom. It can be useful in many different ways. First off it allows students to see what assignments they have and their due dates. Also it has a class calendar that shows what is upcoming in the class and what is due. A class wiki can also show a blog role and it allows students to reach each other with blogs and comments. Having a class wiki is a useful and helpful tool that students and teachers can use to help better the class.

Using Google Drive in Class

Google drive is a very effective tool to use in class. It can be used for any type of class and most assignments. Google Drive allows multiple people to change and edit the same draft without being near each other. With the ability to insert comments and gramatical changes, drive also allows people to view and edit your assignment without making it permanent. Google drive makes it easier and more convienent for groups to do work at the same time. A group for a class can edit the assignment at the same time as other members of the group, and they can all see the changes as they occur. Google drive is a very useful and powerful tool that can help make homework easier.

That's insane a whole month of a show, I recommend calling it simptember.

Arranging Your Doc

It is important when writing a document to keep it organized and clean. Organization is the order you put your information in and how it wotrks together. You should first put in your abstract and then continue with your introduction and follow with your body and conclusion. When putting in sources and citations, make sure to put it in the right order with your writing and words. Organization is one of the most important parts of writing a paper or document, and can really affect the outcome of your grade.

Concluding a Document

It is imprtant that whenever you are writing a paper or assignment, to have a strong conclusion or closing statement. In the closing paragraph you should restate what your paper said (in different words) and you should also close of the topic and leave no questions unanswered. Do not go easy on writing just because it is the last paragraph and end of the paper. Your conclusion should be just as strong as your abstract and introduction. The conclusion  is just as important as the rest of the paper.

Doc 3 topic part 2

Here we go again, another blog topic about the same subject. The assignment that I chose to do for doc 3 is hypertension. Hypertension is high blood pressure which means your heart rate is above 100–140mmHg. High blood pressure is said to be present if it is often at or above 140/90 mmHg. High blood pressure is caused by increased smoking, eating unhealthy, and not excersizing amongst other things. High blood pressure is very common in america, this has to do with the unhealthy eating habits that people have. There is no immediate cure for hypertension, but living healthy and smart can help prevent the disease.

Doc 3 topic

In doc 3 we had to choose an assignment from another class to write about, the topic I chose was hypertension. For those who donor know, hypertension is high blood pressure. Hypertension is one of the most occurring diseases here in the United States. This may be because of our high stressed environments,or people's unhealthy eating and excercise habits. There is no immediate cure for hypertension, but there are steps to preventing it. Not smoking, eating healthy and exercising regularly are easy ways to prevent hypertension. Taking these basic steps of living a healthy and stress free life are some ways of fighting and hopefully stopping hypertension.

Organizing Doc 3

Doc 3 is like no ther assignment we had. It is not about the flipped classroom and we have to talk about another class assignment. In this assignment we have to portray another classes assignment and present it to people who are not in that class. It is important to be clear and have a good understanding of the topic we are trying to talk about. Because these people are not in that class, they do not know what the topic is and what it is about. It is crucial to organize our Doc 3 in a way that is persuasive and can be easily understanded by the reader.

Doc 3 part 2

In our doc 3 assignment we have to take an assignment from another class and present it to students not in that class. It is important to keep the reader interested throughout the paper, so that they do not lose their understanding of the topic and the point we are trying to make. Being persuasive and precise  about our topic is crucial to keeping the reader involved and interested. Because it is an assignment from another class, other students might not know what the assignment is. Writing with a scholarly and educated viewpoint is important in trying to persuade and teach other students about a topic they do not understand.

Doc 3 assignment

In our Doc 3 assignment we have to take an assignment from another class, and present it in a convincing argument to persuade our reader. Being clear and precise in this assignment is important, because the reader does not know about the other classess topic of the assignment. This assignment will teach us skills to sharpen our skills at persuading and communicating with people. This is important, because when we are professionals we have to communicate and persuade other workers and buisnessess. Being authorative and powerful can go a long way with persuading people, and trying to prove your point.

What is APA?

When writtting a scholarly paper, it is important to know how to write with the APA format and checklist. APA stands for American Psychological Association and it is the guidlines and format for how to write an educated paper. Along with APA there are different types of writting formats and styles such as, MLA, Chicago,  and Turabian. MLA and APA are the most commonly used styles of formatting, and they both have checklist that you can verify that your assignment is up to the standards. APA is very important to learn and know for future assignments and eventhough it is a little like MLA, it has it's own style and formatting.

What to blog about

First off, I want to blog about something else, I just can't think of anything. Getting up early and working all day in the sun drained my body and now I can't think.  I was debating on doing another blog on the flipped classroom, but I think we can all agree four is enough. I was hoping between this homework and my medical terminology studying I would think about something to write about, guess not. We'll as it turned out deciding on what to write about turned out to be a good topic. Maybe next time I will think off something better.

Purpose for Doc2

There may be many purposes for us writing doc 2.I think one of those purposes for us writing is to get the flipped classroom technique across to our reader. The flipped classroom is a pretty diverse topic so us explaining it is can be very helpful to someone reading our document. It is important for us to come across on a scholarly level , and make edeucated points in our assignment, to make sure it is clear and easy to understand for the reader. The reader in this assignment can be anyone from a teacher wanting to learn a new teaching style, to a student wanting to understand how to teach, so it is vitale to portray a professional voice and opinion. Knowing the purpose of why and what we are writing is the first first step of knowing the assignment.

Football's back

For all of you football fans and especially miami dolphin fans, the season is almost here. Preseason officially kicks off friday night when we play the falcons. This year is a big year for us, it is Ryan Tannehill's third year at quarterback, and he is primed for a big season.Mike Wallace will have to prove that he is not a waste of $95 million. With Bill lazor coming over from philadelphia replacing mike sherman as offensive coordinator, we should have a high powered west coast offense ready to score some points. It will be a tough schedule with games against the broncos, packers, and patriots, but if we play to our full potential we hopefully can win. It's not easy being a dolphins fan,but hopefully this is our year to make the playoffs and cause some damage for other teams.

Flipped Classroom 3.0

I am not sure what else I can say about the flipped classroom that I haven't said in my previous blogs about it. I think its a good idea for the modern classroom, with teachers and educators always trying and adapting new ideas, this one can be the next big thing. This allows teachers and students to be more equals rather than the teacher being in charge and the students follow. It also allows students to get their work done in class with the teacher, as opposed to them doing it at home without any guidence. In a flipped classroom the students use their knowledge and thoughts to solve problems, while in a traditional classroom they are told what to do and work off of the teachers curriculum.

Does a reference page actually help?

The blog topic is an interesting question; Does a reference page actually help the reader? There are two ways to look at this, first as a reader, and also as a writer. When reading an essay, paper, or anything else that might need a reference, you want to be able to tell what is written by the author, and what is written by an outside source. As a writer it is important to know how and when to reference a separate source. When writing a essay or paper bringing in another persons views can make your point come across easier and more scholarly. That is how making a reference page can help with your paper.

Flipped Classes

Having a flipped classroom can be both beneficial and dentramental to the student and the teacher. In a normal classroom the teacher lectures the students about the topic he or she presents. After which the class does the assigned work and everyone goes about their day. In a flipped classroom, the teacher is more of a mediator. The class is more of a brainstorm among the students and the teacher. After the topic is demonstrated by the teacher, they become a bystander while the class speaks their mind and ideas on set topic. The flipped classroom can be a valuable tool to help students explore their thoughts, while allowing the teacher to take a more laid back role in the class.

What I learned in Doc1

There are many things that ive learned while doing our doc 1 assignment. First off I learned how to use the google drive and write an assignment as a group, at the same time. Google drive is a very affective tool to use as a group, because it allows us to work on the same project at the same time, while in different locations. I also learned how to grade other peoples project's using the APA rubric. This is a valuable asset in this project and for others. It is important, because it shows me how to make my assignments better even when im grading someone else's.

Flipped Classroom

The flipped classroom technique is a relatively new way teachers interact with their classes. A traditional classroom runs by the teacher I front of the class lecturing his or her students. Flipped classroom technique puts the teacher in a more relaxed role. Instead of the teacher being the head of the class, they are more of a peer and mentor, and let the flow of the class come from the students. I like that idea, because it lets the students explore each other's minds and opinions, while the teacher acts as a mediator, and can pitch in their own thoughts as a person and not so much a teacher.

Group Writing

Whenever you are doing a group project in school there are some things that work and some that don't. First off making sure that the whole group understands  the goal  and the steps to get there is definitely important. Having a group were everyone gets along can help with the continuity of the group, and often can effect the outcome of the grade. When and if there is any type of tension between group members, there is a chance it can affect the groups we'll being. Dividing up the assignment and making sure that everyone understands there role is an easy way to make a group work, and get a good grade.

What Ive learned from priject

I dont really know what to say about this topic, because we havent gotten so far on our project. So far ive learned that the title section has to be done in all caps, and that the references page needs to be indented. Also I learned how to grade other people's assignments following the rubric that was provided. Not a lot to write about, but thats what ive learned so far.

Online Image

Everyone that is online has their own online identity. What we put or post online and what people see is how our identity is formed. Now of days everyone can see what you post even if you are not friends with them. Because of this you must be extra careful with what you post. Employers, parents, and even schools can see your postings and it can affect your job and school status and even your personal realationships.

How I write to Learn

There are many ways that I write to learn. First off I find that writing is a very effective way to learn any subject that you are having problems with. When studying a subject that I am having problems with, I like to use notecards to help remember a topic. After writing them I usually have a better understanding of what i've read, and after countless repetition of the same cards it becomes a lot easier to remember. Other ways that writing helps us learn is in the form of papers and essays. As much as I dont like them they help a lot with learning a subject. With papers you are forced to go in depth and broaden my knowledge of a topic therefore it helps learning when you understand every part about it. Those are some ways that writing helps me learn a new of difficult topic.

Doc1 Blog

I think that our topic for our assignment is a very important one. Now of days with everyone being so technologically driven, people have little to no regard of what the post on the internet. People across the world post comments, pictures, videos ,and status updates on their twitter,Facebook, Instagram, and snapchats that anyone can see and share with whoever they want. Not only are they taking a social risk, but in a lot of cases a security risk. People post their vacation plans and when they go out of town, and they leave themselves and their homes open to being robbed and burgaralized. Along with that once something is online the world can see it, including your employer or school. This is why it is important to censor and be careful what you put online, because you don't want past photos or comments to put your job or career in jeopardy.

Writing to Learn

Along with reading, writing can be a valuable and productive way to learn. I personally believe that writing things down and visualizing it when you study can be just as beneficial as when you read it just once.Flash cards and detailed notes are other examples of tools that show how writing things down can help you learn and understand things better. Repeating and writing the same subject can help someone learn something, because you see it when your writing and when you study it.
